Boarwoods Farm — Arab, AL$6.00 / 1 dozen
Shop NowThe chickens at Boarwoods Farm are truly pasture raised. They are rotated around the farm between pasture and wooded lots, living in an open-air mobile coop, enjoying the freedom to roam and forage 24/7. The bulk of their diet consists of grasses and bugs, but they are supplemented with a non-GMO, no-soy, no-corn feed. We have a variety of heritage breed chickens in our laying flock, so the egg shell colors vary from white to dark brown. We even have a few Easter Eggers, so a few lucky customers will see blue or green eggs in their package! All our eggs are collected and washed by hand each day. Our goal is to provide a pasture laid, fresh, nutrient dense egg to every customer. If you have questions or would like to know more about our rotational grazing, please feel free to contact us directly. Please note our eggs are not sized, so each carton of eggs may contain a combination of Medium/Large eggs from our happy hens.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who produces Pasture Raised Chicken Eggs - Non-GMO, No Corn, No Soy?
Pasture Raised Chicken Eggs - Non-GMO, No Corn, No Soy is produced by Boarwoods Farm in Arab, AL. Boarwoods Farm is a small woman/veteran owned farmstead in Arab, Alabama. We focus on raising healthy hens and hogs, allowing each animal to express their natural behavior, such as scratching & pecking and rootin' & wallerin'. These practices are revitalizing and rejuvenating the landscape of our once deserted farm. Our eggs are laid by hens raised on open pastures and supplemented by non-GMO, no-corn/no-soy feed. Eggs are collected and packaged by hand each day to ensure freshness and the highest quality. Our hen's ability to forage naturally provides our eggs with a sunny orange yolk that is nothing short of delicious. On our farm, hogs are rotated frequently within the woods and pasture, to allow them to forage instinctively on grasses and mast. Their daily forage is supplemented with non-GMO, no-corn/no-soy feed to maintain optimum health and quality for the animal and the consumer.
